The intertwined relationship between women's empowerment and economic development is profound. On the one hand, more equality can be fostered by the substantial reduction of gender differences brought about by economic progress in society. On the other hand, women's empowerment, which gives them more access to resources, education, and decision-making authority, can spur development initiatives and have a positive impact on society as a whole. This mutually reinforcing relationship emphasizes how crucial it is to acknowledge and support women's empowerment as a major force for long-term economic advancement. For the study data has been collected from annual periodic labour force survey reports, world development indicators, and report on all India survey on higher education. To measure economic development, GDP has been taken as proxy variable and women labor force participation rate and gross female enrolment ration has been taken to show women empowerment. The results of the study show positive association between women empowerment and economic development. As per the results it has been suggested the women should encourage to participate in labour force and should get training required for today’s employment profile.
