This article provides an overview of cellulitis, including its etiology, risk factors, clinical presentation, diagnostic methods, and current management strategies. The primary causative organisms, such as Streptococcus and Staphylococcus species, are discussed, along with the importance of early recognition and appropriate antibiotic therapy. Additionally, the role of imaging techniques and laboratory investigations in diagnosing cellulitis and differentiating it from other skin conditions is explored.
